Hotel Materia - Oaxaca

The courtyard setup creates a lovely midday escape, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the warm sun. The Queen Room feels cozy and clean.

Rooms are a bit snug. I wouldn't want to be in one for too long. Ventilation could use a boost-AC swings between being too cold or not effective enough. Plus, morning chatter from the courtyard can be disruptive for light sleepers, so keep earplugs handy if you plan on sleeping in.

We appreciated the comforts of this hip new hotel. The room was cozy, incredibly comfortable and had climate control, multi-channel TV, and a writing desk. The breakfast was exceptionally good and delicious and offered good choice of options. The location was amazing, just a short walk away from a lavish cathedral. Had a NICE time.

Amazing and marvellous location when traveling to Oaxaca. Quite close to the airport, 0.5 miles, perfect for an early flight. A lot of goodies for breakfast...

The room I stayed in was quite small and lacked proper ventilation. I found it hard to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep due to noise disturbances from the street outside. Although the courtyard was a pleasant space for breakfast, it didn't provide a cozy area to relax during the day.

I am so happy we stayed here! The room was spacious and clean, and that king bed? Super comfy. The staff were really nice, helping with taxi bookings and luggage storage. Breakfast was made to order and delicious, especially the scrambled eggs and avocado. Amazing design and beautiful courtyard.

The staff was very kind and attentive. They helped arrange taxis. Breakfast was delicious, especially the freshly made scrambled eggs and avocado. Our King Room with Bath was cute and had everything we needed. The air conditioning worked well.

The king room had air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower, tv, and a lovely terrace. The spa facilities were a nice touch. Everything was clean, and the linens were fresh. Breakfast was served either in the room or on the terrace. Super peaceful too!

I loved the charming design of the rooms at Materia. Unfortunately, the lack of hot water three times was a downside. I'll recommend this hotel for its comfort and ambiance.

During my stay, I loved the delicious breakfasts and the beautiful shared courtyard. the only downside was some noise in the evenings. I’d definitely come back!
